WRAP is coming to Laidley

posted on February 2, 2015

WRAP

(Wellness, Action, Recovery, Program)

WRAP is an action plan to ignite wellness and recovery. The program is made up of eight full day workshops.

The workshops run one day per week for eight weeks. Groups start the course together and complete the course together, as a result, the group bonds and forms friendships as well as support, encouraging a network of like minded people.

Facilitators make time for support and group conversations are always encouraged. Throughout the workshops, safety and privacy is developed and are maintained.

Wellness Recovery Action Plan Group

posted on October 23, 2014

Jacaranda Clubhouse is now running Wellness Recovery Action Plan(WRAP) groups . WRAP was developed by a group of people who experience mental health and other health and lifestyle challenges. These people learned that they can identify what makes them well, and then use their own Wellness Tools to relieve difficult feelings and maintain wellness and a higher quality of life. The result has been recovery and long-term stability. Your WRAP® program is designed by you in practical, day-to-day terms, and holds the key to getting and staying well. It does not necessarily replace traditional treatments, but can be used as a compliment to any other treatment options you have chosen.

The next WRAP program will be run in Goodna in April for more information contact Clubhouse on 32810344

Update………………….

We had a great day at Ozharvest on Monday

Jacaranda clubhouse will be attending this exciting national event on Monday 21st of July

OzHarvest and the United Nations team together to fight food waste

For the second year running, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, OzHarvest will partner with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) to fight food waste–at the upcoming Think.Eat.Save events to be held across the country on Monday, 21 July.

Some of the nation’s top chefs, politicians and celebrities will unite at events held across Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Newcastle to take a stance against food waste, and serve thousands of members of the public a free, delicious and hearty hot meal made from surplus produce that would have otherwise ended up as landfill.

Food waste is currently costing Australians up to $10 billion each year, while two million people still rely on food relief.

There are still tickets available through their website
